The EIP and the vision for Campus Hounslow

The essence of the vision is as follows -" raise educational standards and aspirations, to personalise provision for all children and young people, to ensure that no child or young person, irrespective of ability or disability, is excluded from the learning community and to promote the five Every Child Matters outcomes, through delivery of high quality education with all related services taking a collective responsibility for all of the children and young people in Hounslow through the concept of Campus Hounslow."

The current EIP structure includes the following:

  • Primary Partnerships – West, Central and East
  • Secondary Partnership
  • Special Schools Partnership
  • 14-19 Partnership – with a Strategic Group and an Operational Group - this partnership also support secondary subject networks
  • Behaviour and Attendance Partnership supporting the Behaviour Networks and Attendance Networks, and the Pupil Coordination Panel

Overseeing the structure is the EIP Executive which is made up of the Chairs of each of the partnerships as above plus representation from WestThamesCollege and the LA.

The EIP is also represented on a range of other groups and communications are supported by a weekly email bulletin compiled by the EIP Facilitator.

What the EIP offers to member schools

1. The organisation of an annual calendar of meetings

2. A weekly email bulletin which includes - Highlights of EIP meetings, reminders of future meetings, general information sharingEnsuring school representation as required on a range of working parties and task groups.

3. Support each of the partnerships – the three Primary Partnerships, the Secondary Partnership, the Behaviour and Attendance Partnership, the 14-19 Partnership and their sub-groups: Primary Network Groups, Secondary Subject Networks, the Secondary Behaviour Network, the Primary and Secondary Attendance Networks, the 14-19 Operational Group.

4. Undertake any other activities as deemed appropriate by the members of the EIP.

Funding the EIP

Initially the EIP was funded by a block grant from the DSG made by the School Forum. Subsequently for the period 2011-2014 funding was based on a subscription of pupil numbers, school by school and in January 2014, the School Forum voted a further grant which will keep the partnership fully funded for the next three year period.
