Good quality Early Years experiences improve children’s outcomes through their school career and beyond

Our service has a strong history of successfully supporting the raising of standards in early years provision across the borough.

We have a strong professional team who are passionate about early years.

    • engaging parents as partners initiatives

    • tracking and monitoring pupil progress strategies
  • Support with the statutory EYFS Profile process, including a moderation programme. This is key to monitoring, challenging and supporting quality of provision as well as ensuring robust Early Years outcomes data
  • Support in analysing EYFSP data to inform development programmes in the foundation stage
  • A comprehensive early years training programme
  • Advice and guidance on establishing new childcare provision
  • Advice, guidance and support in relation to the free entitlement for 3 and 4 year old children
  • Advice, guidance and support in relation to free childcare for disadvantaged 2 year olds
  • Access to child care for children with SEN / Disabilities
  • Supporting the quality of ‘stay and play’ groups
  • Supporting the establishment of, and on-going support for, Extended Day Care provision
